Introducing the Grand Château, a truly exceptional 31 Year Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky, meticulously crafted at the Glenfiddich distillery. This rare release has been aged for an impressive nine years in Bordeaux red wine casks sourced from the prestigious wine region of France. This unique aging process brings together the essence of Speyside with the rich, fruity character of Bordeaux, resulting in a whisky that is both opulent and complex.
This limited edition was created in collaboration with the acclaimed French graffiti artist André Saraiva, whose art celebrates the unexpected fusion of these two distinct worlds. His iconic character, Mr. A, is whimsically depicted exploring the vineyards on the stunning Toile de Jouy-inspired packaging.
Aging Process:
- Barrel Type: Bordeaux red wine casks from France.
- Maturation: Aged for 31 years, with the final nine years spent in the wine casks, imparting a depth of flavor and complexity that is rare in single malt whisky.
- Finish: The extended Bordeaux cask finish adds layers of rich fruit, toasted oak, and warming spice to the whisky’s profile.
